First Comes Love wrap-up

Sorry it's taken a little while, but here are some photos from First Comes Love last weekend! Like last year, it was a great event and I believe from Leah and Angela that it was a great success! We certainly had lots of lovely people stop by the Mr Sparrow display and say hello.

I was only there on the Saturday this year (Elli looked after our display on the Sunday), but I had a lot of fun. It's always so nice to meet all the other people involved and feel a part of something so amazing. It was especially nice to catch up with Steph from Zinnia again, as well as the lovely Rebecca from Fox & Rabbit, and to meet Glenn and Lauren from still love (I was sandwiched between these guys!). It probably comes as no surprise, though, that my favourite part of First Comes Love is setting up my little display - I had been looking forward to this for weeks! It was a bit of a race against the clock, and there was one point where I thought the hanging kokedama just weren't going to happen, but it all came together in the end!

And here's a look...

As well as selling bits and pieces to decorate your event (including these brilliant tissue paper balls, which I love!), we were also promoting our wishlist service, which is good for events or just to keep track of your favourites. We also had a big display of kokedama, terrariums, living wreaths and bird's nests, because we can custom-make these for any event to your specifications - if you're interested, send me an email and I'll get back to you with a quote. Or you can always sign up to one of our workshops (more will be announced next week!) and learn to make your own living decorations :)

We also had a competition on the day to guess the number of Sparrow badges in the jar. I'm happy to announce that Chrystal Duffy was the closest at 410 (the exact number was 407) and has won herself a $50 gift voucher for Mr Sparrow! Congratulations, Chrystal, and thanks to everyone who had a go!

Thanks so much to Leah & Angela from Studio Bomba for organising First Comes Love and for inviting Mr Sparrow to be part of such a fantastic event. You can find more photos from the day here (as well as on the blogs of lots of other exhibitors).
